Stowers Doctrine Before Texas Supreme Court
The Texas Supreme Court recently denied rehearing a case about the Stowers doctrine, a legal doctrine about the duty of insurance companies to their insured in claims for the policy limits. The case before the court was about the duty of an insurance company to the physicians it covers in medical malpractice cases.
The Stowers doctrine is a powerful tool for plaintiffs. I’ll update after I research the case.
