Stricter regulations concerning America’s highways and roads would benefit America as a whole and would create safer highways and roads for every individual.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration claims that the metal straps holding the gas tanks in place can possibly rust, which could then cause the tanks to fall, rupture, and catch on fire.  The recall includes certain pick up trucks that were manufactured from 1997 through 2004.  The models of pickups that are being recalled include the Ford F-150, Ford F-250, and the Lincoln Blackwood Pickups.

Ford spokesman Wes Sherwood, claims that the company will notify each truck owner to bring in their vehicle so that they can replace the hazardous straps with new ones that are coated to resist corrosion.
